LIDA MARINKOVA

Lida is an experiential artist and certified yoga teacher dedicated to creating immersive and transformative experiences. Her work explores perception and challenges the way we relate to materials, movement and perception. Holding a Master of Arts in Mixed Media from the Royal College of Art in London, she specializes in glass — exploring its physical and conceptual boundaries.

Influenced by her background in professional ice skating and her nomadic lifestyle, her art often draws inspiration from nature, especially the ephemeral beauty of ice and snow. Her current project YAYA is a handblown collection of artisanal objects inspired by surrealism and the dreamers of our generation. Each piece is carefully crafted and unique in its qualities.

Lida’s work has been exhibited internationally, including the Tate Modern in London, the Tittot Glass Art Museum in Taipei, and the International Festival of Glass in Sofia.

As a 900-hour certified yoga teacher trained in Hatha and Ashtanga as well as trainings in Yin Yoga and Sound Healing, she merges movement, meditation, and energy work into a deeply embodied practice. Her Vinyasa-based classes blend intuitive flow with curated music and spiritual depth, inviting a strong sense of presence, creativity, and connection.

Besides her regular classes, she offers creative movement workshops that integrate her artistic and yogic backgrounds, encouraging self-expression through the body, material, and mindful exploration.

Enriching her multidimensional approach to storytelling, embodiment and performance, she has additional trainings as an actress and singer, among others at the Stage Academy in Zurich as well as the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles.

Outside her artistic pursuits, she travels internationally as part of her career in aviation.

Available for commissions and collaborative projects.

‘the mind is a collector, a curator, a weaver of threads that existed before you. your originality is not in what you think, but in how you combine, twist, and breathe life into what has already been known.’
